什么是定语：

 “的”（用来修饰名词、代词的词）

什么可以作定语：

 a pretty girl：形容词

 a diamond ring：名词

 a book on the shelf：介词短语

 She is the manager who served me yesterday：定语从句

定语的位置：

 a pretty girl：前面

 a diamond ring：前面

 a book on the shelf：后面

 定语放在哪里取决于定语有多长，只有一个词的，都放在前面，短语、从句则放在后面

 a night in the forest 林中的夜晚

 a walk in the rain 雨中的漫步

 the mountains in springtime 春日的群山

 a stormin the desert 沙漠中的风暴

什么是定语从句：

 句子做定语

 He is a nice man / He is the man who loves my friend.

 She is a female manager / She is the manager who served me yesterday.

定语从句的零部件：

 他就是 [喜欢我朋友的] 那人

 He is the man who loves my friend.

 先行词：他就是 那人

组织定语从句的步骤：

 1、找定语（找到“的”）

 2、找先行词（谁被修饰）

 3、颠倒顺序

 4、用关系词

  [能使大多数人幸福的]人是世界上最幸福的人

  people who can make most people happily is the happiest people in the word

  你认识[昨天和我一起看电影的]人吗

  Do you know the man who watched a movie with me yesterday?

  我昨天买的包非常买

  The handbag which I bought yesterday is very nice

  你给我的那块表可准了

  The watch that you gave me keeps perfect time.

定语从句的功能：

 可以用于描述一样东西，尤其是对方不太清楚这个东西是什么的时候

 定语从句关系词的省略：

  1、口语，口语中可以随便省略

  2、当先行词作宾语的时候，也可以省略

   This is a photo I took during … 这里先行词photo在定语从句中是作宾语的，所以可以省略
